Request for Expression of Interest/EOI/ for Consultancy Services Water Supply & Sanitation Project Water Resource Development Fund

1.The Sidama National Regional States of Water, Mines and Energy Bureau has received Finance (Revolving Fund program) from EFDER ministry of water & energy Water Resource Development Fund (ERDF) intended to apply part of the proceeds of this Revolving Fund under the contract for the hiring firm consultant for Design Review, Contract Administration & Supervision for Aleta Chuko Town Water Supply & Sanitation Project.

2.The Sidama National Regional States of Water Water Mines & Energy Bureau now invites an eligible consulting firm to submit Expression of Interest for Aleta Chuko Town Water Supply & Sanitation Project.

3.The consultant firm has the following assignment but not limited to

1. Stage I

1. A.Design Review
2. B.Bid documents preparation
3. C.Further capacity building & revising the business plan to include actual structures of the final design, and
4. D.Conduct consultation and appraisal of the study at town to approve as each proposed components are designed considering all the existing situations and natures of the ground for final approval before biding.

2. Stage II

A.Contract administration and supervision of construction of works, and supply and installation of equipment (Pipes and electromechanical),

B.Conduct further capacity building for town water boards and utility and assist the min implementation of the business plan by fully participating the town water boards and the utilities.

3. Empower the Town Water Boards and the Utility during the implementation of the projects at all stages to improve sustainability and cost-effectiveness.

4. Conduct regular town-level consultation and approval of the tasks at each stage of project implementation to assure as the services and tasks are per the needs of the users fulfilling the situations on the ground.

4. The short-listing criteria will include the firms

Core business and number of years in business

qualification and specific experience in the field of assignment,

organizational, Organizational, Managerial, and Technical capabilities of the firm.

General qualification and number of staff but not individual experts' biodata. 

5. Work experience of the firm and every professional's work experience and educational documents should be attached.

6. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the QCBS (Quality and Cost Based Selection) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.

7. Interested firm may submit sealed documents of expression of interest to Sidama National Regional States of Water, Mines & Energy Bureau, Procurement Finance & property Administration Directorate Director at Hawassa within 15th Calander days after the announcement on the National Newspaper at or up to at 3:00 P.M. Documents will be submitted after this date and time shall be rejected.
